The Raleigh-Wake Squadron is a composite squadron of the Civil Air Patrol (CAP) and operates off Raleigh-Durham International Airport (RDU), General Aviation terminal.
Part of the Middle East Region (MER) and the North Carolina Wing, the charter number is 048.
The Raleigh-Wake Squadron is currently comprised of 60 Senior members and 75 Cadet members (June 2011)
The squadron is one of the most active in the entire NC Wing, works closely with many other squadrons, the NC Wing, and the national Civil Air Patrol organization to complete its missions for America; currently operates 1 C172 and 1 C182 w/G1000.
Senior Members meet on first and third thursday of each month at 6:30 PM (Winter time) or 7:00 PM (Summer time), while Cadets meet every tuesday at 6:30 PM.
