The Raleigh-Wake Squadron is a Composite Squadron of the Civil Air Patrol (CAP) and operates out of Raleigh-Durham International Airport (RDU) with its offices in General Aviation Terminal.
The Raleigh-Wake Squadron is assigned to the North Carolina Wing. As of February 2014 the squadron is comprised of 64 Senior members and 58 Cadet members.
The squadron is one of the most active in the entire wing, works closely with many other squadrons, the NC Wing, and the national Civil Air Patrol organization to complete its missions for America; currently operates an GA-8 Airvan and 1 C182 w/G1000.
Senior Members meet on first and third Thursday of each month at 6:30 PM (Winter time) or 7:00 PM (beginning April) at the RDU/GA Terminal, while Cadets meet every Tuesday at 6:30 PM at the NC National Guard.
